# v2.78.0 - Search Parameter for Trailers, Users & Vehicles

> New q query parameter added to the trailers, users, and vehicles Telematics API endpoints for text-based filtering

## Search parameter for trailers, users & vehicles

A new optional `q` query parameter has been added to three Telematics API list endpoints. Use it to filter results by a search term without needing to know exact identifiers.

The parameter is optional and backward-compatible — existing requests that omit it continue to work as before.

### Affected endpoints

| Endpoint | Change |

| `GET /v2/telematics/trailers` | New optional `q` query parameter |
| `GET /v2/telematics/users` | New optional `q` query parameter |
| `GET /v2/telematics/vehicles` | New optional `q` query parameter |

### Usage

Pass a search string to narrow results:

```bash theme={null}
GET /v2/telematics/vehicles?q=truck
GET /v2/telematics/trailers?q=flatbed
GET /v2/telematics/users?q=john
```

The `q` parameter can be combined with other supported query parameters such as `from_datetime`, `to_datetime`, and pagination parameters.
