Released 16th October 2026 This release adds two new Visibility API endpoints: PATCH /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id}, allowing callers to update an existing load’s details after it has been created, and GET /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id}/inferred-assignments, which returns inferred driver and vehicle assignments for a given load.
Minor Release: Backward-compatible addition. Existing integrations are unaffected.

New Features

New endpoint:
  • PATCH /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id}
What changed:You can now update an existing load by its ID. This complements the existing POST /v2/visibility/loads (create) and GET /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id} (read) endpoints, giving you full lifecycle management of load records.Example request:
Impact:
  • No changes to existing endpoints or response schemas
  • The new endpoint is additive and does not affect existing integrations

Integration Notes

1

Use PATCH to update an existing load

Send a PATCH request to /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id} with the fields you want to update:
2

No action required for existing integrations

This is a new endpoint. Existing calls to create or read loads are unaffected.

Inferred Assignments for Visibility Loads

This release also adds a new read endpoint to the Visibility API that returns inferred driver and vehicle assignments for a given load. The endpoint surfaces assignment data that Catena derives automatically from telematics signals, without requiring explicit assignment records.
New endpoint:
  • GET /v2/visibility/loads/{load_id}/inferred-assignments
Returns the inferred driver and vehicle assignments for the specified load. Catena derives these assignments from telematics signals associated with the load’s route and time window, providing visibility into which driver and vehicle are likely executing the load even when no explicit assignment has been recorded.Example request:
